Fish Today with Tomorrow in Mind

Mikisew Sport Fishing is committed to the responsible management of our fishing resources and strongly supports Catch and Release fishing.  Provincial catch limits apply to fish you bring home.

Remember, sportfishing in Alberta is limited to barbless hooks - part of the province's plan to improve Alberta's fisheries by reducing hooking injuries and related stress on released fish.  While most fishermen don't need an excuse to buy new tackle, there is no need to replace all those hooks in your tackle box.  Anglers simply need to pinch down existing barbs with a pair of pliers.

Get Your Alberta WIN Card and Fishing Licence On-Line

An Alberta Wildlife Identification Number (WIN) card and Alberta Sportfishing License is required to fish in Alberta. For the convenience of our out of province and US guests, WIN cards and licenses can be purchased online at www.albertarelm.com and printed on your home computer. You will be able to purchase your 2009 license in April.
